ADHD Symptoms

Raising a child with ADHD can be overwhelming at times, but it is always an adventure. I have ADHD, and remember how my parents navigated my symptoms and leaned into empathy.

ADHD is caused by how certain chemicals in the brain interact.

  • Establish clear routines and expectations for your child.

  • Give a lot of positive reinforcement.

  • Split tasks into smaller and more manageable actions.

  • Encourage your child to express their feelings.

  • Listen to them without judgment, and validate their experiences.

  • Remind them it's okay to ask for help.
